Megan Romano is an acclaimed pastry chef who made a name for herself working with such notables as Charlie Palmer, Charlie Trotter and Gray Kunz. After many years at Palmer’s Aureole in Las Vegas she realized a lifelong dream, opening Chocolate & Spice in May 2012. Magnetic Public Relations was engaged to spearhead an opening and ongoing communications campaign designed to drive locals to the suburban café.
Since opening, Magnetic has garnered significant coverage for both chef and the café and the outreach helped position both for awards. Megan was named Pastry Chef of the Year by the Nevada Restaurant Association for their 2012 Culinary Excellence Awards, Chocolate & Spice was named Best New Bakery in Vegas Seven’s Best of the City Awards, and Best Bakery for the Best of Las Vegas Awards.
